Welcome

I often wonder if I built a house, would I still be doing remodeling projects. Would I ever be satisfied or would I get these light bulb moments. I wonder, can a home ever be done? Someday I would love to build a home from scratch, well I mean hire someone to see my vision.
Note to self, buy that lottery ticket!
Today I share with you my living room before and afters.

Before

Country gone wild!

After
Brilliant White Board & Batten
Splendid paint by Ben Moore
(Yes this is a different paint color than the before.)

Jute Rugs Lowes

If you can't find the perfect size coffee table
consider cutting down a kitchen table like we did here.

Potterybarn style picture wall in the beginning steps.

Add a little extra storage in hidden places.

Add some baskets under a bench for all those
hats & mittens.

Don't be afraid to mix patterns & textures
for a cottage feel.

Are you ready for spring?

Camp Jones...

Do you ever struggle with what kind of room to decorate for your kids. It can be a challenge because you know in a year you could be doing it all over again.

My son decided a few years ago that he wanted his room to be a camp room. I am sure what he was probably envisioning was a room of tents and animals. Well, I decided to go for more of an Adirondack style camp room. While decorating I thought,if I went to a cabin in the woods what would it feel like? Oh, and dont forget it also has to be on a penny budget.

Now keep in mind this room has changed a bit. We have given Logan the master bedroom and moved our queen bed into the camp room. Some day we may move them back, but for now it works fine:)

not so long ago, there was an ugly pink bathroom. This bathroom would have made Barbie very happy:)
