A fall sale...

I wish I could say we spent the summer traveling in exotic places, but it has hardly been such. Instead we have been gearing up to put our house on the market. We have been staining, painting, cutting, and sweeping. There has been dust, dirt, blood, and clutter. But in the fall (fingers crossed) we hope to have a place that will fly off the home market.
I have created a new blog as a source for potential home looker's
to stumble upon.
I'm not a fan of the boring real estate listings with a couple tiny little photos. I have tried to put the shoe on the other foot, and think what would I want to see and know if I were looking for a new home?
Why pay someone else to do what I believe I am more than capable of doing.
I have to admit, I have kind of been down this road before. I had a house 7 years ago to sell, much before the blog thing swept the Internet. So low and behold I added all my pretty photos on to eBay with a pretty for sale template. Interestingly enough I had out a bunch of out of state interest. I had a lady from as far away as Florida come and see my place. Then a  cute young couple from Connecticut ended up buying our home. So now 7 years later, we are going to do it all over again. So, I present to you my new blog...

Hope you enjoy...

Do you have a favorite stain?

Well this summer isn't exactly going as planned. No beach vacations, no visiting friends in far away places. What are we doing you ask? Well this summer is the vacation of renovation. We are hoping to get our house on the market for sale this fall.

So all those unfinished project & new projects are getting crossed off our list.

So today I ask, do you have a favorite stain?
I do...

I know, I'm a messy stainer.
You think the can looks bad,
you should see my face.

So anyway do you remember this room?

Well that camp room has been missing these.

Freshly stained baseboard trim. It will look much darker and more rustic once installed in the poorly lit camp room.

Now just to install and fix the wall border and I can mark another room off our long never ending list.

Now if you know anyone looking for an almost 3,000 sq ft home send them my way soon:)
